Quick notes here.
Slanted and Enchanted and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain have been re-releasted by Matador as 2-CD sets. I picked up a used copy of the latter for 9 bucks last weekend. It had a nice 20 page insert with some anecdotes and pictures. Wow, so many extra tracks!
And then serendipitously the other day, while just surfing along, I found this great quote from "Type Slowly" (a good song from a weak album) as the tag line of a couple's blog:
One of us is a cigar stand/And one of us is a lovely blue incandescent guillotine
Malkmus at his finest. He lives in Portland. Thank goodness for the west coast.

That's funny - that's the only Pavement album I have, and I like it quite a lot. In fact, it's started to skip and do weird things from use.
If that's a weak album, what's a better one, for instance?
My order of preference, most beloved to least:
1. Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
2. Slanted & Enchanted
3. Watery, Domestic (EP)
4. Wowee Zowee
5. Westing (By Musket and Sextant)
6. Brighten The Corners
7. Terror Twilight
