Back From Costa Rica

We just got back from 3 1/2 weeks in Costa Rica. That's the longest vacation I've had since 2002. The itinerary was:

one week in Manuel Antonio (including morning classes at private Spanish language school COSI)
one week in Gandoca-Manzanillo
field trip to Yorkin (village of indigenous people the Bribri)
two days white water rafting on the Pacuare
two days at Hacienda Guachepelin (highlight: horseback ride to Oropéndola waterfall)
two days at Volcan Arenal (it was cloudy ... so the highlight was Eco Thermales)
two days in Monteverde (tours at Reserva Santa Elena and Don Juan coffee farm)

I had a great!! vacation and will try to get some photos uploaded in the next day or two. Meanwhile check out Gallo Pinto, which is what I had for breakfast every day for the last month.

And for the record - the road from Bribri to Bambu - even if it is only 10 km long - is worse than any stretch of the road to Monteverde.
