Empty Space RIP

I got an email from the Empty Space theater today that began: ''The staff of The Empty Space Theatre is truly heartbroken to announce that after 36 years of bringing cutting-edge productions to Seattle audiences the Board of Directors has voted to close the theatre effective immediately."

That's a real shame given how much I liked their work.

This reminds me that I need to subscribe for the 2007 season at the Intiman, which is reliably interesting theater, if not experimental.
